My Story

Greetings Equine Lovers!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share a little slice of my journey with all of you wonderful folks. My name is Julia, and from the moment I could toddle, horses have been an integral part of my life.

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have grown up in a household where my parents not only supported but actively encouraged my love for all things equine. They instilled in me values that have shaped every facet of my life – from the importance of safety and trying new things to fostering relationships built on communication and respect, both with horses and with the people around me.

Together as a family, we embarked on countless adventures, from competing in various types of shows to attending clinics and events all across the Maritimes. These experiences were not just about the thrill of competition or the joy of riding, but about building memories and bonds that would last a lifetime.

After college, I dove headfirst into the equestrian world, spending thirteen enriching years at an equestrian facility. There, I had the privilege of teaching lessons, training horses, and even organizing some of the largest multi-breed and sport shows in the region.

Then came motherhood – a beautiful, life-changing experience that temporarily shifted my focus away from the equine world. But fear not, I always kept my trusty equine partner by my side.

But life has a funny way of taking unexpected turns, doesn't it? A detour led me to a seven-year stint at a tourism business, where I had the pleasure of sharing my passion for horses with visitors of all ages through interactive experiences and historical tidbits about PEI.

As my family grew, so did my professional journey, leading me to unexpected places like managing a fast-food chain. It may seem like a world away from horses, but I found that the skills I learned in the barn – patience, communication, and leadership – were just as applicable in the fast-paced world of fast food.

Now, after a fulfilling tenure as an Executive Director and Executive Officer for non-profit organizations, I find myself drawn back to where it all began – the Equine industry. And let me tell you, I couldn't be more excited to dive back in with both feet.

So, here I am, ready and raring to help you and your equine partner on your journey. Whether you're looking for advice, training, or simply someone to share your love of horses with, I'm here for you every step of the way.

Let's make some hoof-tastic memories together!
